RULES & ETIQUETTE
GO Darts is an online darts league that values competition and sportsmanship. While we offer prize money, our core focus is on enjoyment, camaraderie, and fair play. If winning at all costs is your only priority, or if losing leaves you bitter, this may not be the right league for you.

To ensure a great experience for all, please follow these rules:
RULE ONE: SPORTSMANSHIP
-
Keep things positive—good sportsmanship enhances the experience.
-
Encourage, support, and assist fellow players.
-
Treat players and admins with respect.
-
Avoid harassment, abuse, or unsporting behaviour.
-
Keep language civil—no insults or personal attacks.
-
Violations may result in removal from the league.
RULE TWO: FIXTURES
-
Follow the match schedule posted on the competition webpage.
-
Arrange your match with your opponent on Discord.
-
Reschedule matches only by mutual agreement.
-
Post the agreed match time in the diary channel on Discord.
-
Arrive on time—if a player is 15+ minutes late, the opponent may claim a win or reschedule.
-
Give at least 30 minutes' notice for rescheduling—failure to do so allows the opponent to claim a win.
-
Repeated lateness or scheduling violations may result in removal from the league.
RULE THREE: CAMERAS
-
Play all matches on camera via DartCounter or Discord.
-
Mount your camera at bull height, ensuring a stable, full-screen view.
-
Confirm that your opponent's board is clearly visible before playing.
-
Use audio if possible, though it is optional.
RULE FOUR: MATCHES
-
Format: Check the comp format on the comp web page.
-
Scoring: Use DartCounter for all games.
-
Starting: Throw three darts at the bull; the highest score starts. If using DartCounter, the player with the lower average or lower ranking starts.
-
Throwing:
-
Set the timer to at least 60 seconds per throw.
-
Move darts so that trebles and doubles can be seen before entering scores.
-
Do not throw until your opponent has entered their score.
-
-
Submitting: Post a screenshot of the final score in the Discord group chat and submit results using the provided link in the submit channel.

RULE FIVE: POINTS
-
Scoring: Win = 2 points, Draw = 1 point, Loss = 0 points.
-
Unavailable Opponent:
-
If an opponent is unavailable, the available player receives 2 points.
-
If both players are available but at different times, a draw is recorded.
-
Rescheduling is preferred over awarding points for unplayed games.
-
-
Player Withdrawal: If a player drops out, all their matches are removed from the standings.
RULE SIX: WINNING
Winners are determined, first by points awarded, then by:
-
Greatest leg difference.
-
Most legs won.
-
Highest average.
RULE SEVEN: PROMOTION & RELEGATION (if applicable)
-
Players are sorted into one of four leagues:
-
The 30's League
-
The 40's League
-
The 50's League
-
The 60+ League
-
-
Each league consists of multiple divisions of 10 players.
-
At the end of each season:
-
The top 3 players in each division are promoted.
-
The bottom 3 players in each division are relegated.
-
-
New players are placed in the division best corresponding to their average.
-
Adjustments may be necessary depending on the number of participants.
RULE EIGHT: CHEATING
-
Follow all standard dart rules—any form of cheating results in removal from the league.
-
How to prevent disputes:
-
Arrange and play your matches on time.
-
Ensure your camera provides a clear, stable image at bull height.
-
Check your opponent’s camera quality before playing. If inadequate, request improvement or reschedule.
-
Use audio where possible, to call out scores and discuss disputes.
-
Set the DartCounter timer to 80 seconds for discussion time.
-
Call out your score before removing darts. When scoring high or completing a leg, allow time for your opponent to see your darts.
-
In case of a dispute, continue play and finish the match, then report the incident to an admin.
-
-
Handling accusations:
-
If no clear video evidence is available, both accuser and accused will be placed on The Watchlist.
-
Repeated reports or accusations will be reviewed and may lead to bans from all competitions.
-
RULE NINE: MONEY
-
Entry fees must be paid in full before a competition begins. Payments can be made in various currencies. If using PayPal, an additional 50p must be added to the entry fee.
-
Once payment is made, no refunds will be issued to players who withdraw or are removed from the competition.
-
If the number of registered players is not a multiple of the group size, players with the closest averages will be allocated available spots. Any players who do not secure a place will receive a full refund.
-
Prize money will be paid via bank transfer. Alternatively, players may choose to keep their winnings as credit for future competitions.
